Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is a popular action game developed by CI Games. It was originally released for Windows on 22 Nov, 2019.
You still can't play Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts on Mac because a native Mac version was never released, but you can play Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts on Windows running inside Mac. Here's how.
Here's a quick description:
Become the ultimate assassin in the most realistic modern warfare sniping game available. Engage in an immersive single-player campaign across large, open-ended maps. Tactical thinking, stealth approach and precision in execution of long shots required.
Even if you don't have a PC, you can install Windows on your Mac using Parallels. Parallels is virtualization software with full support of DirectX and GPUs, which will give you a decent graphics performance. With a couple of clicks, you can install Windows 10 on Mac and ten switch between MacOS and Windows instantly. You can run Windows just like on a regular PC, install Steam and enjoy Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts game on Mac.
Even though the virtualization is relatively easy to set up, it requires you to buy both Parallels and Windows licenses. Since you'll be running two operating systems side by side, you'll need to dedicate at least 20-30GB of disk space for this setup and also a strong machine to run both operating systems at the same time.
If you have an older Mac or have a Mac with an M1 chip which doesn't fully support virtualization yet, you might want to try a virtual computer running in the cloud such as Second Computer.
Alternatively, you can create a virtual computer in the cloud using Second Computer. Instead of license fee for Windows and Parallels, you pay by the hour (so it's much cheaper if you are using it infrequently) and you control the computer via a web browser. That means even if you have an older computer, you can run the latest games in the cloud without maxing out your processor or memory.
One added benfit is that since the computer is located in the cloud, you can access it from any device you own. So in theory you can play Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts not just from your Mac, but also from your iPhone and Android device (it's not going to be a very nice experience though on such a small screen size).
Either way, Second Computer provides a nice alternative for running non-native Mac apps on your Mac by connecting to a computer in the cloud.

No no no no no, no!This game requires that cancerous spyware made by braindead incompetents.EAC, you can't even run the game (via Steam and not the separated executable) to play single-player without having to install that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of junk. That's one good reason to not pay for this, unless they change it, which they probably never will.

This game is average, I'd say. It's fun enough to play, but not really immersive. The good: ballistics are good, with easy way to account for wind speed and distance. variety of gadgets to allow multiple paths to goals. satisfying bullet time. six or seven different maps. some upgraded abilities that are useful and entertaining. The bad: the enemies are not too bright. They don't find cover well, they don't advance on you well, they don't call for reinforcements. There's a bit of radio chatter, but it is always the same on all the maps and really doesn't do anything. This makes the game easy. Too easy (I played on normal setting). While it is difficult to clear a map without setting off alarms (I didn't have the patience to do this), it is not difficult to win a map. In fact, the easiest thing is to just snipe everyone. There's really no problem with this. Yes, they all know where you are, yes the keep asking HQ for orders (there are never any orders), but they really just stand there, partially behind cover, waiting to be killed. So, I had fun. But it was not challenging at all. You can clear 80% of the objectives and extras without planning. That last 20% is hard to do and takes a great deal of patience. More patience than the game is worth. If you like sniper games, this is ok on sale. But games like Metal Gear are wayyyy better.

Well, the sniper mechanics are amazing. I am actually surprised that this is not just another ,,point and shoot" kind of a game (you know, the kind where you always hit, no matter the target being 50m or 500m away from you). And because I am also a gun owner, I know that you have to adjust your scope to hit targets at different distances, so this game is a great addition to my collection (since I cannot visit a shooting range now, because, you know ... covid :/ ). I am not sure if this review actually helps anyone, I don't write them very often :D
